Hi, I seem to be having the same problem. This has been happening for at least a week now.
I am trying to alter my Principal email accost equally outlook.com is not picking mail up from the mail server that the accost is associated.
I have tried to edit the allonym SMTP settings but outlook will non allow me modify/edit them
Please help as this is causing me cracking big problem with my telephone, surface, computer etc

Hello Everyone,
I am sorry to say merely the customer service of Microsoft's Department which take care of technical problems of email is worst I take ever seen in my life, Today is 9th Oct 2013 and yet the issue is not resolved. It is more than 14 days but no luck.
Every time I try to contact the customer service they reply with the prebuild typhoon but thing they alter is the name. Even here I am getting same types of replies. I don't know why they don't treat their customers as priority. I am/was loyal client of Microsoft equally I take bought lots of products in previous years. Just now I am seriously pissed off with Microsoft email account customer service & its reliability. I will never recommend anyone to use outlook.com business relationship as primary electronic mail. Go for Gmail or yahoo as they better understand their customers.
Also delight never try to change you main alias as it will messed upward your account. I don't know why in that location are so many users who have the same issue which I accept simply the "CUSTOMER Back up" is sleeping as they are on vacation with automated reply of drafted bulletin.
Please Brand A Organisation FOR YOUR NEW EMAIL Address WITH RELIABLE SERVICE PROVIDERS OR Information technology WILL BE TO LATE!!!
